Overview

Congratulations on your SOVDA order! This guide will take you through the timeline and preparation for your equipment delivery. You can find links to site and equipment requirements, assembly guides, and manuals below.

Before your Order Arrives: Prepare your Roastery

The Site Preparation Guide will help you equip your facility with the necessary utilities before your equipment arrives. It covers equipment dimensions, electrical requirements, and air requirements for all SOVDA products.

Pearl Mini customers only: Your Pearl Mini has specific compressed air requirements. Please also review: Pearl Mini - Air Compressor Requirements


Delivery and Installation (Pearl Mini customers only)

Before your equipment arrives, please review the Scope of Work that applies to your order. If you're unsure which applies, check your invoice for the relevant line items.

Taking Delivery: Inspect and Record All Equipment

Regardless of the condition of the equipment on arrival, we strongly recommend photographing and filming all crates before opening them. Before signing the POD (Proof of Delivery) or any delivery acceptance paperwork, carefully inspect your shipment for damage, including checking all tilt and shock indicators, if they are red, this indicates rough handling. Any damage or activated indicators must be noted on the POD before you sign.

Signing without noting damage means all damage becomes the client's responsibility and insurance will not cover the loss.

If you identify any damage or activated indicators, contact SOVDA within 48 hours. You can safely accept delivery as long as all issues are noted on the POD first.

Additionally, please perform inventory using the paper copy provided in the crate and contact your Technical Service if anything is missing.

 

Build: Assemble your Equipment

If you have booked an Uncrate & Assembly service, you can proceed to the next section.

Commissioning (Pearl Mini customers only)

Once your equipment is assembled and all electrical and air connections are in place, your Technical Representative will schedule a video call to verify everything is ready before booking their visit. We aim to schedule commissioning as soon as possible, with trips typically taking place within 4–6 weeks of the pre-commissioning video call being completed.
