Levelling your Pearl Mini

This guide covers levelling your Pearl Mini once it is fully assembled. It is Step 7 of the Pearl Mini Uncrate & Assembly Guide.

Before You Start

This is the final levelling step, your base was roughly levelled earlier, but now that the machine is fully assembled this is your precise and final level. Do not skip this step, an unlevel machine will affect performance.

Step 1 — Loosen the Locking Nuts

Using an adjustable spanner, loosen the locking nuts on all four feet. You don't need to remove them — just loosen enough so the feet can be adjusted freely.

Step 2 — Level Front to Back

Always level by lowering the high side rather than raising the low side. Over-extending the feet risks the threads disengaging from the machine, which could cause it to fall and result in serious injury or a fatal accident. If you are finding it difficult to get the machine level without extending the feet significantly, stop and contact Technical Service before continuing.

Place your spirit level along the side of the machine and adjust the front and rear feet on one side until the machine is level front to back. Repeat on the other side.

Step 3 — Level Left to Right

Place your spirit level across the front of the machine and adjust the feet until the machine is level left to right. Double check front to back again after doing this, as adjusting one direction can sometimes affect the other.

Step 4 — Check All Sides

Once you're happy, check all sides one final time with the spirit level to confirm the machine is level in every direction before moving on.
